Traditional matrimony in Saudi Arabia is just like any other marriage in Muslim country except the part, where lavishness is at its extreme. The first step towards the matrimony in Saudi Arabia is that man or his family asks the girl’s hand in marriage from her father or her family. Later, the man and the girl may see each other with the consent of both of the families and if they like each other then the marriage takes place. Otherwise, both are allowed to give their opinions and the marriage will not occur without the consent of the man and the girl. The second step towards matrimony in Saudi Arabia is “Nikkah”. The man and his wife are bonded together in a marriage contract know as, “Nikkah”. After this, both the families start celebrating functions. The families and guests of the bride and the groom wear colourful clothes. They sing and dance as well, celebrating the happiness of the newly married couple. The bride is provided with different beauty treatments to make her more beautiful, gorgeous, attractive and fresh for her husband. During function plentiful, tasty and delicious food is served to the guests. After matrimony in Saudi Arabia the groom and the bride also go through a cake cutting ceremony, which is a symbol of love and care for each other. After the completion of wedding ceremony, celebrations and functions, the bride leaves her parents house and shifts into the man’s house. Then they start their new life. Unlike other Muslim countries, the girl’s family in Saudi Arabia demand dowry and other wedding expenses from the man’s family during matrimony in Saudi Arabia.
Matrimony in Saudi Arabia has variety of traditions, for example, one of the traditions is that the newly married couple buys new clothes. This symbolizes the concept of starting a new life. Therefore, they get rid of all the old belongings. Matrimony in Saudi Arabia is also common between foreigners and Saudis. However, there are certain rules for matrimony in Saudi Arabia with foreigners, for example, the age gap between the couple shouldnot exceed from 25 years and the couples should be non-addicts etc. If a Saudi man marries a foreign girl then the rules are different. If a Saudi woman marries a foreign man then again there are different rules for the couple as well. Furthermore, to marry a non Saudi citizen application to the Saudi government is written for permission of matrimony in Saudi Arabia. When a Saudi woman marries a foreign man, then her husband and her children donot get benefits from the government. According to their new law the foreigner sons of Saudi women can get all the benefits if they get married to Saudi women. However, Saudi laws doesnot imply on foreigner and expatriate couples residing in Saudi Arabia. Two non-Saudis can also get involved in matrimony in Saudi Arabia.
After matrimony in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Man and Saudi wife are taught to show love and affection to each other privately and behind the doors in the boundary of their homes. Public affection of husband and wife is not allowed. Saudi women want such men, who can make them, feel special and emotional. They desire men with the ability to understand them. Once they find such soul mate, they are ready to set aside all their lives for their partners or husbands and will love them forever. Saudi women are mostly busy in shopping and spending their rich husband’s money. This doesnot mean that they only look for rich husbands or partners. Above all, Saudi women prefer husbands or partners reliability, truthfulness and honesty. However, they deserve this lavishness because of their sincerity towards their husbands, families and children. These women gain education from their local schools, colleges and universities. However, the ratio of working women is less than that of non-working women.
On the other hand, Saudi men gains higher education from international and national universities and are hired in multi-national corporations. Most of them run their own successful businesses. Some of them also move to foreign countries for better employment opportunities. Saudi men are romantic, affectionate, caring, kind and loving. They are seen to have a nice sense of humor as well. Matrimony in Saudi Arabia is common among the citizens. They marry each other, have a lot of children and live a happy, blissful life. Foreign men and women can also look for Saudi men and Saudi women for dating, relationships and marriages. They can also look for other foreign men and women. A large number of expatriates and non-citizen men and women are residing in Saudi Arabia. They are living and working in Saudi Arabia and are looking out for serious relationships.
